Dream a little with us

“The historical mission of our time,” according to cultural historian Thomas Berry, “is to reinvent the human—at the species level, with critical reflection, with the community of life systems…by means of story and shared dream experience.” (excerpt from Imagination: A Manifesto, by Ruha Benjamin, p. 43)

Some of our shared stories and dream experience at (m)otherboard have envisioned a different future, including: collaborating with the Organization for Ethical Source (OES) on the Contributor Covenant 3.0, documenting how diverse communities have experienced, shaped, and resisted technological change via A People's History of Tech, supporting visionary leaders doing technology work towards collective good through our Guaranteed Basic Income program, and our book club, to imagine new futures together. 

This month, we’re reading Ruha Benjamin’s Imagination; A Manifesto, and there’s still time to get the ebook, audio book, or physical book to read along with us and join us for a conversation with the author.
